Lacock
Lacock is a historic village that was mentioned in the Domesday book. It is now mostly owned by the National trust and as you can see from the pictures, it is completely unspolt and well preseved. It is often used as a setting for period dramas including the BBC series Cranford and some of the Harry Potter movies. Bowood House is also in the village. This is where William Henry Fox Talbot pioneered his development in Photography. His family owned the estate and it was bequeathed to the National Trust For more information, See the National Trust website |
